We are Katia and Ann. Welcome to our blog! We are 2nd year illustration students at the Ontario College of Art University with two very different illustration styles.
Lifeboat Jamboree is our space to share our weekly (bi-weekly... sometimes tri-weekly) illustration challenges where we select 3 random words with a generator and use these as a basis to build a concept that we then illustrate separately. This exercise leads to fun results, the freedom to experiment, and it is always fun to compare how different our results are.
Why did we pick the name Lifeboat Jamboree? Well aside from the fact that it sounds awesome, we figured we'd stick with the theme of random words and use the same random word generator (
found here) to pick out some words for us to name our blog with! And so, Lifeboat Jamboree was born!
